Round Fluted Aluminum Columns

The staves of our round columns are designed with flutes so that when they are assembled and capped with Scamozzi, Corinthian, or Doric Capitals, they recreate a classic Greek or Roman look.

Old South aluminum columns are extruded from 6063-T5 aluminum alloy which, when locked together, form rigid, load bearing columns that are maintenance free reproductions of the classical round fluted and square columns of old. Unlike the old wood and stone, the Old South aluminum columns, with their baked on powder coat finish, require no maintenance and will not rot or deteriorate. While all Old South aluminum columns are load bearing, they also can be used to wrap around existing posts.

Available Sizes

Round Columns are available in sizes 5" to 36" in diameter and from 8' to 30' high. All "Old South" round columns are load bearing. Sizes 6" and larger can also be used to wrap around existing posts.
